Dear Victoria Friends,
Please vote this Saturday in the civic elections.
I didn't know a blessed thing about any of the candidates until I looked at the Victoria Chamber of Commerce site (kindly provided by Mary!):
Yes, there are 35 candidates. It took me about an hour and a half to read about them all, and make a decision. I encourage you to do the same. Why? Because I guarantee that when you read what the candidates have to say, you will vehemently disagree with at least half of them. It's worth the effort to have your say in what goes on in this city of ours. (For example, one of the candidates advocates a downtown local food market, kind of like the farmer's market we don't currently have downtown -- wouldn't that be awesome?)
Anyway, time for my afternoon nap.
