A Maru Episode from Kanjani∞ Episode Book♪
Hey friends♥
Did everyone already get a copy of the new Kanjani∞ album? Did you guys end up buying both limited editions (the one with a DVD/ the one with trading cards and an extra song)? I ended up buying both. Yikes~ I spend so much money on Kanjani∞ and NEWS, but other than that I don't spend much money so my father didn't see it as that big of a deal. **Deep sigh**
I'm sorry I haven't been visiting any of your LJs. (.T____T.) I'll try to find some time ne? I really want to keep up with everyone's lives. **Hugs**
It's been a while since I translated an episode from my Kanjani∞ Episode books so here is one. (.^____^.) I haven't bought any recent episode books. Hopefully, I'll get some soon. Anywho, I hope you enjoy this episode.

Note from Debbie: Nozomi are the fastest shinkansens (bullet trains) in Japan. You can get from Tokyo to Osaka in 2 and a half hours.

Kanjani8: Good work today!
*Rehearsals for Kanjani8 as a whole finished, and the group was going to split up to do their own thing, each member having their own schedules for the rest of the day. But just as they were about to disperse...*
Maru: Well, have a nice evening!
*For some reason, Maruyama-kun quickly raises his right hand and immediately goes on his way.*
*Watching Maruyama-kun leave, Subaru-kun asks the other members... *
Subaru: Hey, is Maru heading home today?
Yassan: He's probably going home on Nozomi, like usual.
Tacchon: Nope, he said he had an interview today.
Subaru: What? Which one is it?
*To tell the truth, no one knew what type of schedule Maruyama-kun has for the rest of the day.*
~Part 2: Maruyama-kun's Mysterious Actions~
Subaru: (Shocked) Maru, you secretly disappear even in Tokyo!?
*The fact is, Maruyama-kun has a tendency to disappear all of a sudden, even when they are back at their hometown. There are times when the rest of the group wants to invite him to hang-out with them, but if he is not there, nothing can be said or done. Of course, it's not like he never hangs out with them. When he does join them, he spends a lot of time with them. But still...*
Subaru: Uchi...
Uchi-kun: Yes?
Subaru: You and Ryo are staying over [at Tokyo] tonight, right?
Uchi-kun: Yes. We have rehearsals with NEWS tomorrow, starting in the morning.
Subaru: Good, then follow Maru to find out where he is going.
Uchi-kun: (Shocked) FOLLOW!?
*The rest of the members jump onto Subaru-kun's idea.*
Kanjani8 member: I bet one meal, he is going to meet a girl!
Kanjani8 member: I bet one meal, he is going to a mixer!
Kanjani8 member: I bet one meal, he is going to hit on girls!
*Hey, all of them are about getting girls! Nevertheless, they are betting on Maruyama-kun's actions without him knowing. (Laughs).*
Subaru: (To Uchi-kun) Hurry up and go! You're going to lose him!!
Uchi-kun: Oh oh oh! I'm going!!
*Uchi-kun hurriedly runs after Maruyama-kun. And just like that, the project of following Maruyama-kun to figure out his secret actions started!*
~Part 3: Private Detective Uchi, Expose Maruyama-kun's Secret!~
*Maruyama-kun passes through the ticket examination for subway station A.*
Uchi-kun: He's going to ride the train. I need to buy a ticket, but to where?
*At first, Uchi-kun was pushed into following Maruyama-kun, without knowing why exactly he was doing it, but now....*
Uchi-kun: Gosh, I'm sort of excited. This might be very fun!
*As one can see, Uchi-kun was feeling like a private detective.*
*Leaning on the door, Maruyama-kun is looking around at the advertisements hanging inside the train, while listening to his MD. Uchi-kun stands at the door, one car away. If he doesn't keep close watch, he won't know when Maruyama-kun gets off, so he continues to watch with sweaty palms.*
Uchi-kun: Oh! He's getting off!
*Maruyama-kun gets off 3 stations later, at station N. He gets on another train which heads for station J. Maruyama-kun gets off at station J.*
Uchi-kun: (Smiles) Oh~ I see! He came to look for some dirty books or comic books.
*Right by station J is a shopping district, is that Maruyama-kun's target? However, he just listens to his MD and keeps on walking. He doesn't even look around and does not appear to be searching for a certain place.*
*In fact...*
Uchi-kun: (Confused) Huh?
*Maruyama-kun enters subway station S, and gets on a train again.*
Uchi-kun: (Shocked) What! Why did he get off then!?
*From station S, he goes to station H; from station H, he goes to station E.; from station E, he switches to JR and rides it to station T.*
Uchi-kun: WHAT? The shinkansen!
*That's right. Without stopping anywhere, Maruyama-kun ends up at Tokyo station and walks into the ticket examination for the shinkansen.*
~Part 4: What is the Meaning Behind Maruyama-kun's Mysterious Actions...?~
Subaru: (Confused) What does all this mean?
Uchi-kun: I have no idea!
*Several days later, when Kanjani8 gathered together again for work, the first thing the group members asked Uchi-kun was, "Where did Maru go!?" But there certainly was no satisfying answer for them, and the members could do nothing but hold their face and say, "Hmm... Strange, way too strange..."
Kanjani8 member: Yeah, but if his goal was to ride the shinkansen, he should have chosen from the very beginning, one train to head over there! There was a train that would have taken him straight there without having to get off on the way, right?
*Questions lead to more questions and this whole ordeal just increased Maruyama-kun's mysteriousness. (Bitter laugh)*
*So, what was the real meaning hidden behind Maruyama-kun's actions! You know, it's times like these when the truth turns out to be quite small (?)*
Maru: I want to hurry up and go to Tokyo again~♪ I love Tokyo trains♥ They go round in circles and are connected at various places.
*It turns out that Maruyama-kun just happen to like trains (Laughs).*
