There are some issues I need to resolve regarding the rules, and I want your input before I finalize them.
First of all, I have decided that there will be 8 general topics that everyone will have to debate at some point. I need suggestions for these 8 general topics. The other four topics will be current event topics chosen at random.
Also, the process of choosing sides is something I'm conflicted about. I could either assign each participant to take one side of the debate, at my discretion, or I could allow one participant to choose the angle they wish to debate, and their opponent will take the other angle. If we choose the latter, everyone will get an equal number of opportunities to choose what side they want to debate.
I'll be posting the schedule either tonight or tomorrow. I hope to have the full version of the rules posted by Friday.
