So, i've been hanging out with this girl Shannyn (thats how she spells it) for a while and we have a ton of stuff in common... We get along great, like really great... Things are complicated though, we both work for the same company, different locations but we know all the same people... And she used to date on of the guys we also work with... That was an issue that we have worked through... We arnt "dating" really, like BF abd GF stuff... Just hanging out as more than friends but not at that level yet... So it isnt unacceptable if she sees other people at this time... Which she has, before I was even in the picture and I can deal with that...
To the point, we where hanging out tonight, we went to see one of her friends at his restaurant and then the three of us went out to get a few drinks, it was cool... But we ran into one of the guys she was seeing before I came into the picture... I felt uneasy but played it cool... No big deal... So I'm driving her home and we're BSing about stuff and I remembered that I still had her gift from ren fest at my house... So we come here and she uses the bathroom and I run down to my room to get her gift, and she comes out and sees it and is pretty much floored by it, like overwhelmed...
See she is big into anime and the whole japanese culture and what not, so I got her a display samuri sword when we went to ren fest... It was her favorite color and just totally hit the nail on the head... she was at a loss of words... I drove her home after she gathered herself and she said something that really made me happy... She mentioned how her ex was gonna buy her all this stuff for Xmas like and Ipod and this and that, but that What I got her was sooo much better cause it showed that I was thinking about her and that it really meant a lot to her and she was forever greatful... It made me feel good... to be able to make someone that happy without even doing anything, aside from thinking about what they would like...
I just wanted to express some of that with whoever wants to read this... Cause It's been a while since I've felt this good about something... I like it when she smiles...
