This was posted by our friends who have helped us out taking the Pitbull, please repost, and even though it's the holidays, even if you can just donate a little, please do!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I am asking you all to please open your hearts and help this poor little dog this holiday season!!

Tuesday, in Hampden, in Baltimore MD, two wonderful girls Angie and Kate found this pit bull puppy wandering around in the street scared and with an abscess on his face. They were so kind as to take him in and seek out care for him, as many of you may have seen the myspace message circulating. I contacted them with regards to the dog and they decided to give the dog to me so that he could be claimed by EBBRR, Ethical Bull Breed Rescue, which is run by my friends Michelle and Erin. If he had been given to a shelter he most likely would have been put down. After taking him in last night, the abscess on his face ruptured and his face size doubled and it stretched so much that the skin split. It was very painful for him and very dangerous because he was susceptible to blood poisoning. Here is a photo:

Weds. morning this poor pup was rushed to Light Street Animal Hospital for Emergency care and Surgery. The side of his face had to be cut open and Dr. T had to put a drain in so the wound will heal properly. Yuck. Dr. T temporarily named him "Punch" because he thinks someone punched him or hit him or kicked him in the side of the head, caused some kind of injury in the dog's face, and it abscessed.

I picked him up today from the vets and I am fostering him until he is all healed and ready to be adopted. He is a wonderful animal. But here is the problem. Emergency vet care is not cheap and the treatment this dog recieved was costly and put the rescue over its credit limit at the vet's office. The rescue just paid some of it down, too, but somehow sick dogs just keep finding their way to us! !

If anyone wants to help Punch out the best way is to help us out with even a small donation to his care, we'd be incredibly grateful. I am not sure if he will need even further attention, in the event that he gets a secondary infection or someting and the rescue is really hurting for funds. Even if a few people donated $5 or $10 it'd be ridiculously appreciated, thats the cost of a drink at a bar, and its going for a really good cause.

we'll place him up for adoption and get him neutered when he's healthy! So if you are interested you can contact michelle and fill out an application!
Other then that....PLEASE PLEASE Donate to us! Any amount counts!!! He is such a sweet little thing!! Help make him feel better!! Thanks Guys!! Please pass this on to your friends too!!

Any donations made in Punch's name can be made to Michelle's PayPal account at guardianambull@aol.com, or of course could be paid directly into the EBBRR account at Dr. T's office, Light Street Animal Hospital, 1601 Light St., Baltimore, MD 21230. (410) 547-8385.
