Opening Day Part One

It was stressful before it even started due to all the anticipation of all the "big dogs" that were arriving. Our insecurities took over, and we became subconsciosly self conscious of our actual company knowledge and procedures. It did not calm our nerves when the two highest titled employees were completely and totally contradicting. They were both of equal standing, answering directly to Kandice, but one was actually assigned to be over our store, while the other was the one that Kandice real depended on. This created a divide quickly between all the visiting managers from other stores and our key holders and sales associates. A divide that I unfortunately had the misfortune on landing on the smaller island. I was terrified of Margaret before I even had the opportunity of meeting her after my talk with Kandice the week before. "She is my top dog. She doesn't have time for bull shit, she only does what is necessary to get the job done. She fires anyone who stands in her way of success. When she arrived she seemed nice enough, wearing a Winnie the Pooh T-Shirt and her blonde wavy hair was gathered in a ponytail. She didn't come in shouting orders, in fact she was completely silent, just jumping straight into packing the store with us.
