Good eye sniper

Wow, it has taken me nigh forever to finish catching up on all the entries on my friends list, actually I'm still not finished, it's been a while since I was online for any length of time longer than what it would take to check email. I am back in Jasper for this week and will probably be here for roughly 50% of my time from now on, as opposed to being in Birmingham for 99% as I have been since January, so hopefully I will have the best of both worlds; clean air and non-ghetto surroundings to work and relax in and on the weekend big-city fun and a social life. Anyway, I can't really think of too much that has occurred since my last post although I am sure a lot has, it has just been so long since occurring that I no longer have it filed in my brain as "news" or I have been just too preoccupied with playing Clive Barker's Undying on PC, which can be purchased at Wal-Mart for the absurdly low price of $9 AND is packaged with the equally awesome American McGee's Alice.

My brain would have been in surreal horror mode from just those 2 games but I had to go and start reading the Gunslinger books, playing Eternal Darkness on GC, making a replica of the Hellraiser puzzle-box out of a Rubik's cube, and research and watch specials on TV about biblical artifacts like the Lance of Longines and the Turin Shroud, so everything is starting to blur together into one big lump of good versus evil occult/mythology/bizarre story, I guess I'll just reread and replay everything separately later over the following years when I forgets what happens so as to get double the entertainment value.

Mom is back home and feeling better from her surgery, a gall bladder removal, and is back to her old self which means me and dad are going to have to get to working on the house again soon. The house interior is completely different than it was 5 months ago, now it is all hardwood or tile floors and green or goldish-orange-tan painted sheetrock walls along with black countertops and a cast iron sink, or at least there will be the sink after this week when we figure out whether or not we need to tack supports under the behemoth when we install it. I find it strange that my parents change things to basically what I had been telling them to for years when I leave for a few months, I guess it finally seeped in, either way it is like a new house and pretty cool.

Thursday I will be heading back to Birmingham for the weekend as that my brother and I have "some unfinished business" with the theater, if anyone else does as well and would like to accompany us let us know before Friday, the more the merrier. Oh, and why was I not informed that Coheed and Cambria = Modest Mouse + Rush + some metal riffs? And who was it that told me they were hardcore or such? Weird. Not like they are a favorite band or anything but they are way better than I was led to believe.
