if you're a non-smoker, don't ever work at a place where the majority of the employees smoke. let's be real. it's like that friends episode when rachel gets a job, and it seems like when all the peeps go out to smoke, they all get promoted and rachel is left out of the deals. so she becomes a smoker to try and get on that shit. hilarious. but it's funny how it actually happens in real life.
my bosses at work are smokers, as are i'd say 85% of the employees at my work. two ladies just quit smoking, and i don't smoke...sooo, there are in total, 3 of us who don't smoke. out of say, 20 employees. so here's the thing. because even my managers are smokers, they think it's ok to have smoke breaks. maybe once every 1/2 hour-hour unless we're superoutofcontrol busy, they get to go outside for 5 minutes and light it up. but let's think about it...while the rest of the restaurant is on their smoke break, who has to take care of everyone else's tables? oh wait...that'd be me...the nonsmoker. i don't understand why i should be punished for this? i should fake like i started smoking, and just go outside and sit there for 5 mins. seriously though! i don't get a break because i don't smoke. prejudiced? i think so.
i'm real sick of my job situation. i've applied to about 10 jobs online recently, with no word from any of them. am i just underqualified or is online applying a lost cause?
ugh. i'm sick of this shit. somebody please give me a job before i have to take up smoking....
