Theatrical Muse Topic: Laughter

I suppose a sense of humor is something I have been sadly lacking of late. It’s hard to laugh when you’re dying and on a mission to enlighten others about the appreciation of life.

Even though my symbol and messenger is laughter personified - a puppet in the shape of a clown.

The last time I remember a sense of genuine amusement and laughing slightly was telling Detective Matthews that there will be blood... it seems a little sad and pathetic in hindsight. Perhaps laughter is something I should have appreciated more... it might have made a difference in my life, if only to provide a few moments of relief from the pain.

I once heard somewhere of laughter treatments for cancer patients - or someone who oversaw his own treatment by using laughter as a possible cure or pain killer or something - they do say that laughter is the best medicine, after all. I don’t know that it could help me at this stage, but perhaps it will be something I could consider in what uncertain future I have.
