Theatrical Muse Topic: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I don’t really have a favorite mode of transportation any more. For me, now, getting around is more a matter of convenience, necessity and practicality rather than pleasure.

Once, I had a car I liked a lot… it was a sturdy, trustworthy machine that was going to be the family car. The vehicle that would carry around my precious loved ones… until all that was lost to me, and the car was destroyed in an act I now regret deeply, an act of desperation that nearly ended my life.

Nowadays, it doesn’t really matter how I get around as long as I get where I’m going, and arrive when I need to be there. I don’t care if I have to go in a car, or on a train, or by bus or subway… though, these days I’m more likely to let someone else do the driving if I’m travelling by car, due to my illness.

I even have to resort to a wheelchair sometimes - it’s a useful kind of transport, though not one I enjoy using.
