Theatrical Muse Topic: How do you respond to pressure?

How do I respond to pressure? I can tell you that using very few words indeed.

I thrive on it.

Finding out I had cancer was one of the most pressuring events that has ever occurred in my life. That terrible knowledge forced me to look at myself and how I had been living, to take stock of what I had. And doing that made me realize that I had not properly appreciated my life and all the wonderful people and things that were a part of it. I saw how precious existence itself was, despite all the suffering we endure to live.

The duress of my illness made me take action swiftly; I began my new mission, my life’s work. I started the tests, my games - and the players, then as now, were people who had done what I had done, wasted their lives and not shown proper gratitude just to be alive.

Not many have responded to pressure as well as I have done.
