3 - RETURN!

Jun 18, 2010 00:12

[The view through the crow is somewhat distant - Kuja's bird is wary of him - but it looks a little bit like there's a nude man (albeit a man with some very confusing hips) hovering in one of the trees. The bird is ABOVE and behind him, so thankfully no naughty bits can be seen, but the presence of a limp, lightly furred tail hanging behind him ( Read more... )

axel is still a dick, kuja's return, villains never get a break

[...Huh. Now, there's one you don't see every day. Joshua watches with mild interest as Kuja sets about de-impaling himself.]

My, my. How'd that happen?

[After his outburst at the crow/Beatrice, he's calmed down somewhat, and his face is more or less impassive except for a furrow in the middle of his brows (and his treacherous tail, still flicking back and forth behind him in anger.]

[calmly] Undoubtedly someone thinks themselves clever.

Hm. [Tilts his head thoughtfully] No idea who?

[After his explosion at Beatrice, the crow is looking away, so the shot is just of the surrounding trees and Kuja's voice drifts up from below.]

There are many children here, overly-enamored with themselves. [dryly] And I doubt I have made the most fetching impression with most of them. It is not in my nature to pander to - [a grunt, a kind of gross 'squeege' sound, and then the blood-slicked stick goes flying away through the crow's view, hurled with considerable force] - fools and insects.

Ah. So you were gotten the better of by an insect. A child insect, at that -- albeit one with an unusually large stinger. [Faint smile] I see.

Ha! Had I not been weakened from my fight with the Reaper, the outcome would have been quite different, I can assure you.

[Eyebrow raise]

You had a fight with the Reaper, did you? Goodness. When was this?

[flippantly] I don't remember. But I'm certain he was responsible for my absence, and I would not have made it easy on him.

Oh, I see. Yes. Yes, I'm sure you made him rue the day he tangled with you.

[sourly] Obviously it wasn't enough. Death Itself could not hold me; it chafes to be captive to the will of something so... [He flicks a hand as if the concept leaves him feeling physically unclean.]

The seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake, Kuja. (Thank you, KH. x_x) i_see_death June 22 2010, 04:38:23 UTC
[You and Josh both, Kuja. :| Though Joshua's not about to admit the extent to which it gets to him.]

Mm. Poor you. [Dryly] Perhaps you should look and see if the store's got any sort of ointment for that.

Tarzan go, Sora gogo! ...unrelated but makes me laugh every time. :\ death_of_terra June 22 2010, 04:55:34 UTC
Seems rather unlikely. The so-called Reaper delights at such chafing, like an insect drawn to an infected wound. It would be rather self-defeating of him to provide a remedy.

[Kuja peeks at the crow over his shoulder, eyes curious; behind all the arrogance and ego and...flounce...he's relatively clever himself, and the wheels are always turning.]

...though there have been individuals who escaped his clutches, yes?

XD yes. i_see_death June 22 2010, 05:10:45 UTC
[Joshua shrugs.]

...Well. There have been various individuals whom various other individuals have believed to escape his clutches. I expect you can spot the major difference between these two pictures.

Haha! Heh... indeed.
But there have been individuals who have vanished, and individuals who have vanished... and later returned, yes?

That much strongly appears to be true, yes. Of course, the individuals who've vanished and not returned may simply be ones who haven't returned yet. No one's yet found a way to say for certain.

[There's a long, long break in the conversation here while the crow simply stops transmitting. It picks back up about 45 minutes later, and Kuja appears to be wearing someone else's clothes and is now sitting behind one of the cabins to himself.]

...tell me about the ones who have returned.

[Sorry about the bossiness - it's ingrained in him as deeply as his desire to destroy.]
