Ive been chatting a bit with the guy who runs Slave to the Needle and am thinking of going by next week to ask some questions. I decided to post a photo to show the dermal placement. It would be on the other side of my face as well. Ill prob end up int he bathroom with dots all over my face trying to decide placement and look like an idiot. Good

Those are actually kind of a fad here in Corvallis (probably because the piercing shop on the edge of campus was one of the first places in the area to start doing dermals). I think they are super-cute near the eye like that, but I am too scared of the removal process to ever get one xD;

SInce its micro dermal implants the skin that grows through the bar is not very much. I havent seen much on the removal, can you tell me anything or have any links? I havent seen anything on removal yet on BME...

My piercer (who did like 10 dermals on a friend of mine), removes newer ones by kind of "popping" them out (apparently it HURTS LIKE A BITCH), and with older, fully-healed ones, I believe that a small incision has to be made around it to get it out, so it'll leave a scar. :x for me, the temporary cuteness of having one doesn't outweigh the total fear I'd have about having to get it removed eventually xD;;; but talk to your piercer, they might do things differently at different shops :]

I defiantly want to see photos of them removed and healed first before anything.

No clue. I suppose it depends on the place. Its one of the many questions ill be asking my piercer when I go in and ill definatly get back to you on it!

And yeah after my leg a micro(much smaller than a normal dermal) is no biggie :)

The thing I'd be worried about if I were you is a job discriminating against you for having an unnatural piercing.

why not just get a piercing there? just curious either would look amazing ^_^

because a piercing goes through one side of the skin to the other. This is a single point insertion aka anchoring.

ya i get it and i totally love it. i just thought since there's 2 dots why not go for a piercing and get them both with one ^_^ but it probably wouldn't look as kick ass XD

Ill be starting with a anchor on each side for cost reasons.
