Those are actually kind of a fad here in Corvallis (probably because the piercing shop on the edge of campus was one of the first places in the area to start doing dermals). I think they are super-cute near the eye like that, but I am too scared of the removal process to ever get one xD;

My piercer (who did like 10 dermals on a friend of mine), removes newer ones by kind of "popping" them out (apparently it HURTS LIKE A BITCH), and with older, fully-healed ones, I believe that a small incision has to be made around it to get it out, so it'll leave a scar. :x for me, the temporary cuteness of having one doesn't outweigh the total fear I'd have about having to get it removed eventually xD;;; but talk to your piercer, they might do things differently at different shops :]

I believe that was one that had only been in a few days. I want to see it taken out a few months or even a year or two

i asked my piercer, and the way he does it with the older piercings is put a hot compress on it to open up the pores, THEN pop it out. maybe it's the same? *shrugs*

he pores are on the surface of the skin and pores aren't what are pierced.. I cant see why it would have ANY affect on how the skin grew through the feet of the piercing at all.

I know they generally make a small cut with a scalpel if they cant just pull it out. I want to see photos of various one that have been taken out and how bad the scarring was. Though I wouldn't think it would be horrible scarring and nothing makeup couldn't take take care of.

i have no idea. it apparently just softens the skin up enough so you can pull it out. that's the same thing Brian Decker says, and i'm not gonna argue with the man who perfected microdermals. hahaha. you should totally spend a million dollars and come here and get brian to do them for you. hahaha.

i know tehre are pictures online of rejected ones. they just look like a brown dot/acne scar.
