Special Announcement: Cohdopia Cares!

May 16, 2010 15:59

I'm pleased to announce a new program here at the embassy, inspired by my online interaction. I like to call it the Cohdopian Correctional Care Carton.

Many people have told me that they can't come to the embassy because they're incarcerated. My duty as ambassador is to reach out to citizens of the receiving State, and incarcerated citizens are still citizens! As I'm a strong believer in positive reinforcement, I thought it would be nice to send a little treat to the prison, to encourage everyone there to continue to behave themselves.

I've made a list of individuals to be included in the Cohdopian Correctional Care Carton (CCCC). If you are a prisoner, and you don't see your name on the list, feel free to let me know you'd like to be added. So far, I've only listed people who've requested particular items from the embassy!

Before, there was a bit of controversy about sending things to the prison, but it turned out to be because certain items were deemed too hazardous. I discussed the matter with the prison authorities, and now I am trying again. If you're not sure what to ask for, we can send things like food products, hygiene items, and harmless ornamental pieces.

In alphabetical order. I'll add to the list as people tell me what they'd like!

1. Mr. Alba: spiced orange wafers and possibly something else.
2. Mr. Armando: Cohdopian coffee and an anthology of Cohdopian poetry.
3. Mr. Dingling: The Natural Wonders of Cohdopia coffee table book.
4. Mr. Engarde: Cohdopian entertainment magazines.
5. Mr. Gant: Candies? And a picture of the rededicated pipe organ.
6. Ms. Miney: Hazelnut castles.
7. Ms. Paups: an ornamental butterfly mobile or garland (I'm sorry, my dear, I can't send metal jewelry to the prison, but I promise you a brooch or a pendant when you're released, as a congratulatory gift). Also, a Cohdopian cookbook!
8. Mr. Portsman: set of aahnrühd balls.
9. Ms. Yew: Cohdopian oranjaade.

As always, I'd like all non-incarcerated persons to feel free to visit the Cohdopian Embassy for even more free samples and special offers!
