i lied about being the out-door type...

Al already beat me to the punch, but yeah, Josh Fontaine last night at Rachibites was awesome.

Yester-day work finished at noon, as 5/7ths of the work crew were booked to race in a sailing regatta from Royal Perth YC. I was part of the 2/7ths that didn't race, but Kat & I were part of the "property education foundation's" spectator crew on a massive boat that watched the race. Our boat (the company's) came 4th, not a bad result as there were about 18-20 boats racing and they started out almost last due to the skipper not knowing where the race start was.

But Kat & I enjoyed free booze & nibbles on board the boat. Our work neighbor, a MD of a large building/design company, who we can usually hear through our walls screaming at subbies and project managers that he thinks fuck up (who knows, maybe they deserve to be yelled at?) was on board with us (we didn't know this beforehand) and we didn't talk shop once, which was great, as we were there for some serious drinking (and watching a yacht race, apparently!)

After the race there were more drinks & a bbq, but as I had an excuse (the gig, of course) I only stuck around until 6:30, when I snuck out, knowing Al was waiting with the car, probably saving myself from having to party & drink too much alcohol with the bosses.

See
infinityn1hour for more info and pics of aforementioned gig. I agree mostly, but think Benedict could've played better, as he has the 25 + times I've seen him previously. or maybe I've just lost my love of full on sad-core??? Either way, he's way, way too skinny!! Put some meat on your bones, Ben!

Hey, only 2 more sleeps til LEMONHEADS!! then 3 more after that for THE PIXIES!!!

Last week, whilst speaking to my mother in Boston, after telling her that we're going to see the Lemonheads, she reminded me that she used to work with a girl who was THE LEMONHEADS first manager, way back when (1987?) And that was how I first heard of them.  how awesome is that
