Even though Gil was a painful novice at cuddling, it soon became second nature, in so far that even after dinner, there wasn't any discussion about them getting back to the couch, relaxing on top of each other like the lazy bones they were. Funny that they had to get abducted and shipped across the country to be enslaved to finally take a few days off.
Even more surprisingly, the touching was kept at a very innocent level, although on Gil's part there had been restraint involved. But everything in his vicinity was explored, nuzzled and touched with the delicate curiosity of someone charting unknown land he already held great affection for. Nothing naughty, nothing dirty, even though every little touch Nick granted him in return was tough to interpret as friendly rather than a silent invitation to sexy time.
With their yawns increasing, they eventually agreed on turning off the TV, both of them slowly making it to the bathroom to take care of their evening rituals. Twin sinks made mutual tooth brushing easy, although sharing that mundane habit alone still felt a little odd. Splashing some water onto his face, Gil patted himself dry with a towel and looked over at Nick. “You still want to share beds, right?” Gil asked in a neutral voice, merely wanting to make sure that they were still on the same page. He thought the afternoon of sharing easy intimacy went well, although perhaps Nick already had his fill of Gil being a human squid.
