The BLU Medic stands tall, as usual, and cocks an eyebrow at the question - or maybe at the teenager's rather casual position.

"Vell, if zhey keep on insisting beyond reason, I think it's a good hint that just talking vill not vork." A beat. "There are quite an array of chemical compounds that vould stop that foolish someone long enough. The mode of administration vill depend on the individual subject, obviously; I vould advise you to keep the syringe gun as a last resort, however, especially if a friendly relationship of any sort exists und you vish to keep it."

It's not only that he manages to sprawl like that, it's that he manages to do it in armor.

"I don't know if it's insisting. I think he'd listen if I had any other suggestion. But as long as I don't, he just says that at least he'll be doing something about the problem."

The rest gets a slight chuckle. "Drugs don't work on us. I've been tempted to slip something chibi-causing in his food and drag him home with me a few times though."

The doctor's eyebrow rises closer to his receding hairline. "Sometimes doink somezhing chust for the sake of it does more arm zhan good, does your "friend" know zhat?"

He lets a beat pass.

"Vhat do you mean, drugs don't vork? Are you machines?" Machines who need food? Chibi... what?

"Yeah, but he thinks doing nothing is even worse. I.. think maybe he knows something he's not telling me. Like there's more of a time limit than we know about or something."

"Er.. um... sort of, yeah."

"I think Cutman and the others can give you a good idea what my method of stopping an irrational plan is." Which is usually asking herself 'Can we talk it out? Will they let me fix it? Will hugging stop it?' If the answer to all of these is 'no', the only answer then is to shoot it till it is no longer capable of independent movement.

"I once heard that what a child doesn't receive, they can seldom give later. If it's too late for that, it's a revelation they must gain on their own."

"Let's see, I've been trying the first. Which kinda runs into the second because he says he won't listen unless I have another solution and I have no idea how to fix this. The third... won't stop it, but I've been trying it anyway mostly because it makes him squirm. And I... I'm really trying to avoid the last."

Axl nods at that. "Yeah, I guess that's true. I've tried to do something about that, but most of what he sees of the world is the bad stuff. I don't think he's even really met a nice human. And they designed him to be an assassin of all things, so it's no wonder his idea for solving a problem would be to kill people until there's no more problem..."

"I do too. Have you tried talking to anyone else about the problem? Someone with a little more experience?"

She frowns at the next part. "...we robots are the creations of humans. How can we have in the ability to be kind, if our creators do not have the same ability?"

"Yeah, I've asked here a couple times. At home, though... Zero wants me to stay away from him because of other universes we've heard of where," Axl fidgets before finishing, "I end up helping kill him, and he makes me go crazy or something. Those universes have a lot of things almost totally backwards from the way ours is, though."

"I know there are nice humans. All the ones on Mars are." He then looks a bit embarrassed and seems to notice he's wearing armor. "I guess it's kinda obvious what I am, at least to someone from a similar timeline."

Chrono of course glares back.

And Axl just looks confused for a good moment. "Um, I think which one of us has a plan got mixed up somehow."

"Eheh. Sorry, you reminded us of an old argument," Chrono says, embarrassed. "And one or both of us were hearing something else entirely, apparently." Aion isn't saying anything, it's the embarrassed cat method of social interaction.

"How do you know it won't work? Has the problem happened before?"
