It has been ages since Mel has seen Victor, but she remembers her! She also remembers that she helped out her boyfriend when he'd been kidnapped.
"You know, if I got one, I think it'd be a pocketwatch or an hourglass. Not sure where. It's never been something that's that big a thing for me, though, so..." a half-shrug.
It's been ages, and Victor recognizes Mel just fine, though the actual events from that time of her life have gone hazy for her. She smiles in recognition, stands up to greet her. "That'd be lovely. And it's real good to see you. I like the idea of using significant symbolism."
"You think? I think it'd be something that'd work pretty well for me. And it's pretty great seeing you too, Vic." Mel gives the other girl a big grin. "What've you been getting into?"
"I concur with you," she says, with a little peaceful grin. "Wanna have a seat? Things've been goin', been building a lot, last semester in college, traveling. Not too much bad, and plenty of good. How've you been?"
Mel takes a seat and grins at Vic. "Well, good to hear. I've been doing pretty good myself. Living with my boyfriend, training, learning, stuff like that. Oh! Victor, I have excellent news," Mel says, extending her left hand. There's a delicate silver ring on her finger. "It's a promise ring," she says, almost glowing with happiness.
"Congratulations!" She settles on down too, folding her hands on her knee primly (or at least trying to be prim, it's a coin-toss with Victor). "Those're all fantastic events. I'm glad of them."
She feels a little questionable about letting herself lose track, too. "Oh, let's see... I'm half-making a tree sculpture. Made a couple robots. A few series-works. Murals, oh, the usual. Made two critters out of living clay, and that was something. They're great creatures!"
"You know, if I got one, I think it'd be a pocketwatch or an hourglass. Not sure where. It's never been something that's that big a thing for me, though, so..." a half-shrug.
