I wouldn't get anything because I get bored too quickly, while a tattoo is there for the rest of your life unless you get it lasered off. I have my navel pierced though and change the jewelry on it a lot.
She stretches out her legs, then tugs them up to sit cross-legged on the couch, hands resting lightly on her knees. "Aaah, yes. I don't have any piercings, myself. What's your favorite sort of jewelry for it?"
I like the things that let a jewel sit right in your bellybutton. In the summer when I'm wearing less clothing I'm more likely to put in something that dangles. I hate hoops though.
"I always thought a cross somewhere would be good," Ryan muses. "Protection against evil, y'know? But then Rashid said that for it to actually work, I'd have to go through an elaborate ritual, and the cross would have to cover my back, and then Mickey teased me about the time I almost passed out getting a flu shot..."
He trails off and gives Victor a sheepish smile. "Eh, sorry. Tattoos are pretty cool. Are you going to draw it?"
She whistles through her teeth, runs both of her hands back through her hair. "Yeah, that'd be pretty huge, but I like the pragmatic aspect. I think they're pretty cool too, and I might draw it, but... I have a lot to decide."
It has been ages since Mel has seen Victor, but she remembers her! She also remembers that she helped out her boyfriend when he'd been kidnapped.
"You know, if I got one, I think it'd be a pocketwatch or an hourglass. Not sure where. It's never been something that's that big a thing for me, though, so..." a half-shrug.
It's been ages, and Victor recognizes Mel just fine, though the actual events from that time of her life have gone hazy for her. She smiles in recognition, stands up to greet her. "That'd be lovely. And it's real good to see you. I like the idea of using significant symbolism."
"You think? I think it'd be something that'd work pretty well for me. And it's pretty great seeing you too, Vic." Mel gives the other girl a big grin. "What've you been getting into?"
"I concur with you," she says, with a little peaceful grin. "Wanna have a seat? Things've been goin', been building a lot, last semester in college, traveling. Not too much bad, and plenty of good. How've you been?"
"You should be careful with that, it makes for an identifying mark that can be bothersome later." This is the voice of experience, in fact, although he hasn't had much trouble in that department. The list of people who've seen him with his shirt off is a relatively short one, after all.
"I thought about that. But... if someone can see enough skin to identify me by a tattoo, I'm identifiable anyway. I'm pretty ripped up." She has so much scarring that she's fairly certain a tattoo wouldn't be dreadful, at least not in the identification department. She looks pretty rueful, though.
"Hm. A point. In that case, whatever you like. Green might be good to ask, he's got a few." That may be an understatement, in fact. The Shadow lacks the social skill to make any sympathetic remarks toward Victor over her scars.
Victor doesn't particularly expect sympathy, so they're all squared away in that case. "Yeah, I just might ask him. I just, well. I've just been thinking on it, nothing's set in stone yet."
Den grins, having just made it back to the Nexus after an unexpected absence, courtesy her male alt. "I actually have one. It's the symbol for Quintessence within one of the symbols for Alchemical Silver. I got it when I was living on my own, so my parents had NO say in it, as I was already an adult at the time... I wanna get a whole lot more tattoos... mostly black and white stuff though. I'm not really one for color, though I do want to get a femme spark over my heart someday."
"A femme spark?" she asks, peering over at her. Her hands are itching to get a sketchbook and start drawing down ideas. Or at least to start recording potential ideas.
Den nods, "I'm not quite sure exactly how it'll look, but there'll be a lot of blue and pink involved... I kinda wanna base it off of the sparks from Beast Wars or Beast Machines..." She grins sheepishly, "I'm a bit of a Transformers fan-nerd."
