The man in black watching from a quiet corner merely arches one eyebrow at the display. Vigilantes tend to have a flair for entrances, and he'd be a hypocrite to complain, but at least this one appears accidental. "The same thing I'm doing now. I could die any day, but that's always been the case." Beneath the low brim of his hat is a face heavily lined with age, and silver hair, so he may ponder his mortality slightly more than he used to, but it's always been a risk of the job.

"Kinda what I was going for myself. Shouldn't give up what I do just because of a terminal illness. Life is one in general, right?" He chuckles some. Which causes a wince cause of some bruised ribs.

"Hm. You might seek help in the Nexus Clinics," He makes a vague gesture in that direction, a heavy fire opal flashing on the third finger of his left hand. "It's no guarantee, of course. What is it you do?" He has an idea already, from the flashy costume, but he's still curious to see how the young man puts it.

"Crime fighter. Mostly organized crime. But there are a few supers out in LA." Glances towards the Nexus Clinics area. "I'm a clone. My cells are deteriorating." He shrugs some.

Figure out what you'd really like to do in your life and work to make it happen. Places you want to see, things you want to try, asses you want to kick.... A lot of people put things off figuring they could always do it sometime in the future.

"Yeah. That sounds like it would have been a good plan." He nods.

I had a long-running medical issue that nearly killed me a few years ago, so it's something I've thought about.

"Got something myself. I'm a clone. Cells are starting to break down. Eventually I'll turn into a pile of dust."

"Make sure my family would be taken care of," Swindle says, "And try my slagging best to stick around as a ghost."

"My own family takes care of itself just fine without having to take care of me. Probably gonna leave them a long letter or video telling them I'm sorry for a lot of things. But yeah. Not sure how the whole ghost thing would work."

"Not sure myself," Swindle says with a shrug, "Though I was one before for a few months before a LOL brought me back to life."
