It's a time when a lot of us have parties to attend, ja? Some good, some possibly good, some just from annoying obligations, some downright awful and full of baaaad consequences. But! If you could make a guest list of anybody you wanted, who would be on it and why? I mean, anyone: living, dead, estranged, met or unmet, without any of them battling

"Oooo! Hey Schu!" John waves from his couch where he's cheerfully esconced, waiting for Eye Candy/ies.

"Anyone? Well, it'd have to have Jack on it, make that all the Jacks that populate this lovely Nexus. Hmmm, oh, my friend Minx who disappeared and the entire population of the planet Xon."

It's a good thing I made that point about the party not being allowed to explode, because I can't imagine that many Jack Harknesses in one place all being Jack Harkness at the same time without something happening. Good show on the disappeared girl. I have someone I haven't seen in years who I still hope will show up eventually.

John giggles. "It'd be the best orgy ever! It'd become like a universal holiday or something."

He tilts his head curiously. "Oh? Who's your missing friend?"

People would speak of it in awed voices for generations to come.

I think I mentioned him to you before: Ritsuka, a kid from a place where all the kids have cat ears and tails. I liked him. He kept having trouble at home so I worry about what might have happened to him since I haven't seen him in the Nexus for years.

"I just did that for Thanksgiving." Zoe makes her holoform chuckle as a little silver Seeker the size of a cat chirps away from her shoulder. "I had my parents, some friends from other realities, at least four alternates of my husband and my adopted uncles, everyone in the nexus where I live except the guys that keep to themselves...."

She thinks about it a little. "I think there's only three more people I might have liked to invite. Two are dead. They're my childhood boyfriend, his twin , and their younger brother."

I used to go to parties like that all the time. My partner doesn't deal well with that kind of thing, though.

That's sweet. Might be an interesting conversation too.
