"I just did that for Thanksgiving." Zoe makes her holoform chuckle as a little silver Seeker the size of a cat chirps away from her shoulder. "I had my parents, some friends from other realities, at least four alternates of my husband and my adopted uncles, everyone in the nexus where I live except the guys that keep to themselves...."

She thinks about it a little. "I think there's only three more people I might have liked to invite. Two are dead. They're my childhood boyfriend, his twin , and their younger brother."

I used to go to parties like that all the time. My partner doesn't deal well with that kind of thing, though.

That's sweet. Might be an interesting conversation too.

"Yeah." Her smile falters a little. "Especially since it was kind of my fault Rom and Beat died."

-No,- says a little mental voice that can only come from the Seeklet. -Not your fault, Mama. Was the bad Starscream's fault.-

They might tell you differently if they could talk to you. ::As a telepath, Schuldig is getting some odd impressions here.::

Probably very odd, since Zoe is actually that beautiful green Harrier jet that's sitting over there, and Silver is in actuality a baby Guardian Fae Dragon.

"Probably. Well, Beat would. Rom was always an aft every chance he got." Zoe manages to get her smile back a little as she remembers the boys.

"Oh I knew how to read Rom. I knew how to keep him in line, too." She gives a soft chuckle, then shakes her head. "They're alright now. Together in a good place away from the war."

I have to be a bit subtler with mine, though we do occasionally beat dents into each other. Though not as much as we used to.

"We were both less than a year old when I died and broke our bond. And even though my people don't generally have a physical childhood we were still kids. I guess that contributed to our violence level. That, and being born into a war." She glances at Silver, who grins at her. "I can't remember the last time I hit someone now."

We were raised and trained for a violent profession that we both still work in, and sometimes that carries over.

"I've seen that happen, even at home where no war will ever happen. You do what you know."
