At first glance, Shel appears to be one of the lucky Nexusites not affected by the timeflood. After all, the Goldstar costume remains unchanged. Shel herself, however, seems much less lively than usual, and not just in the sense that she's not freaking out about something for once. In fact, she looks almost languid, like someone surgically removed

"You find out the truth." Enzan seems to realize that's rather generic advise, and folded his arms before continuing. "If it's serious, and I assume you can't ask around, you're going to have to look into it yourself. Do some digging."

"Don't know where to look. Could get in big trouble if I tried." Shel frowns. "It's just a hunch, though. Nothing to really back it up."

"But could you be in big trouble if you are being lied to? It depends on how badly you need the truth, doesn't it?"

[shooting_gstar]

"It's about something I've already done and can't undo. So if it would get me into trouble, it already has." More frowning. "I want to know the truth, but it's too late to change anything."

"I know mine are usually. Even if its minor details."

[shooting_gstar]

"Not minor. Big. Very big." She runs a hand through her hair in frustration. "What do you do about it?"

"I got away."

[shooting_gstar]

"I don't think I can do that."

[cheshire_gent]

"Well, it's terribly awkward to point that sort of thing out. I mean, really, it's not done."

"But it's important."

Tucker is on a couch eating a sammichTM while Junior is gnawing on ... something, it's best left at that.

"I'd be surprised Command thought they had to tell us anything at all, let alone lie about it." He rolls his eyes. "Okay, apart from the whole thing being a gigantic lie..."

Shel eyes the sandwich. "That's pretty much it. They don't tell me anything, but I think what they have said is wrong and they know it."

It is a delishus sandwich. Two kinds of meat, lettuce, pickle, tomaters and thick ranch dressing. And there's still a lot of it left. Does she want to try the sandwich? It wants you to want it. "Huh! Yeah, that-" ...chew, swallow... "-that sounds a lot like Command, all right. They know it's wrong or they know you think it's wrong? Not that it matters 'cause they're not gonna let on either way, right?"

Thanks to the effects of the time flood, Shel's cuisine has been rather lacking in, well, being anything worthy of being called a "cuisine". She's been living off of pills formulated to give her the precise vitamins and nutrients she needs. The very idea of a sandwich is rather fascinating and she almost seems surprised that it's edible. She's not going to comment on it, though. After all, Tucker is treating it like it's normal and Shel herself doesn't have any conception of "normal" to go off of right now. She keeps looking at it, though.

"They know it's wrong. I don't think they think I think it's wrong. I don't think they think I think at all." That enough thinks for you, Tucker?

There sure are a lot of people in spandex around here. Fortunately the chubby little boy waddling around is just a little too young to appreciate it on a woman. "I'd say that's normal. You ignore what they say and go with your instincts or whatever truth you can dig up."

Which is kind of ironic, since Shel probably wouldn't even notice it being appreciated in this state. "What if you don't think they're lying until after it's done?"

"Then you're stuck for it?" At least he doesn't think she has cooties.
