"Nothing like a good ol' jazz trance to set things right," Howard replies.

But then he realizes that, sadly, might not be everyone's cup of tea. So instead, he offers Elle a freshly-baked Christmas cookie.

Elle raises an eyebrow. "Jazz? My boyfriend listens to a bit of Billie Holiday and I hear it at Law School parties more than I should, but that's the extent of me listening to Jazz..."

Her face lights up at the cookie. "Oh, thank you so much!" She takes it and bites into it. "Mmm...oh god, I forgot what sugar tasted like..."

"Jazz does the soul good. Believe me." He smiles a bit before pulling the rest of the cookies away from her. "Now I think you've got some finals to finish studying for? Cookies can only do so much good."

Besides, he's got to get back to that batch of peppermint bark he's been working on.

"I'm actually done with my finals," corrects Elle. "That's why I asked about unwinding."

"Fruit juice, eggs, and toast with jam?" Slight frown. "Caffeine is wonderful, miss, but if you are being literal, you should be more careful."

"Okay, I haven't been surviving entirely on Caffine, but with as much studying I've been doing and the little sleep I've gotten, it feels like it."

Guillame smiles politely. "That is good, then, miss, and my recommendation of breakfast still stands, of course. What do you study?"

"Law," says Elle. "I'm studying to get my JD at Harvard Law School."

The black-haired guy asleep over there on a Convenient Nexus Couch may in fact be presenting a response to the question without even waking up!

Elle looks at him with envy. Sleep? What was that like again?

[dickgrayson]

Whoever the guy is, he seems to be enjoying it!

"Eat some real food, then see if you can set a new record for 'longest nap'."

[deltanudaughter]

"Sounds like a decent plan to me. I just kick Emmett out. He's needs to stop crashing on my bed anyway."

Nodnod. "And get a lock on your door too. If y'don't have one already. That'd stop him, hopefully."

"Some sleep and a better diet help. You can't live on stuff like that. You'll get sick."

[deltanudaughter]

"Believe me, I'm going back to all of that now that my finals are done." Elle breathes a sigh of relief. Of course, she has to go back to all of this next month and she knows Emmett is going to make sure she studies, but the break is welcome.

She takes another look at the pony. "Oh my god, you look like a My Little Pony I had when I was a kid! It's still in my room at my parent's house!"

"What does she look like? And I'm glad you still have her!" Twilight smiles.

Elle smiles back at her. "Well, she was my favorite toy! She's pink, like you, but her hair was pink too. And she has hearts on her backside."
