"Fruit juice, eggs, and toast with jam?" Slight frown. "Caffeine is wonderful, miss, but if you are being literal, you should be more careful."

"Okay, I haven't been surviving entirely on Caffine, but with as much studying I've been doing and the little sleep I've gotten, it feels like it."

[acolytem]

Guillame smiles politely. "That is good, then, miss, and my recommendation of breakfast still stands, of course. What do you study?"

[deltanudaughter]

"Law," says Elle. "I'm studying to get my JD at Harvard Law School."

[acolytem]

"That must be quite preoccupying. American law is so complicated."

[deltanudaughter]

"Tell me about it," she says with a sigh. "And I still have another year and half before I graduate."

[acolytem]

"What will you do then? Is there any further apprenticeship once the academic side is handled?"

[deltanudaughter]

"I'm still a little unsure of what to do next, but I'm finding corporate law fascinating. I might end up going into practice with Emmett though."

[acolytem]

"Corporations have their own law code? How odd, but I suppose that is to be expected." The hemph-I'm-still-ignorant look gives way to a smile. "It is always nice to be able to work with a friend."
