"So okay," says Anna thoughtfully.

She's tossing and catching a lump of rock in one hand. It has green sparkly bits.

When she catches it, it glows and makes unpleasant noises. So, to a limited extent, does her hand.

"What would you do if you suddenly got a great big dose of superpowers? Also, what's the weirdest LOL that ever hit you?"

"That is not entirely an if situation, and it was at first very unpleasant."

Guillame's staring at the rock. Rocks with green are not necessarily nasty poisonous awful things, but still... "Excuse me, is that...? I mean, is that anything that is problematic with several members of the Kent family about?"

[downsidedarling]

"Yeah. It is. Currently it's problematic with me about, too, but I find it's more helpful than harmful, at least for short intervals."

She shrugs.

So it is. Guillame glares at the rock, but telekinetically stopping it in the air would be rude. None of the Kents he knows personally are at risk, at least.

"Problematic for you? You....have temporarily acquired abilities of celestial origin?"
Guillame stares at the rock again with concern. "Faites attention, s'il-vous-plait," he says softly but emphatically. The accent is seventeenth-century, but he knows she understands.

"I've temporarily acquired... I dunno, is celestial the right word?"

She tilts her head.

"Okay, attention, you got it. Qu'est-ce que vous voulez dire?"

Watch as Clark keeps a significant distance!

"Hey, uh, what's up?"

"Hey, Clark."

She sighs.

"I got LOLed. Damn, being you is unexpectedly annoying. Less so when I don't actually have the powers, though. Hence the--" She catches the rock and gestures with it explanatorily.

"Being me what?" Clark is confused. WHAT'S GOING ON?

"Uh, you probably shouldn't have that here."

[downsidedarling]

Anna shakes her head ruefully.

"Observe," she says, digging a box out of her pocket and dumping the rock in.

(He might recognize the box.)

The instant the lid snaps shut, Anna walks over to Clark.

A lot more quickly than is usual for her.

A lot more quickly than is usual for a human, in fact.

There may be some wind generated by her passage.

Sarah's eyes follow the lump of rock. "Pretty..." she says, to herself. It takes her a little while to look at Anna instead, and when she does, her eyes are rather unfocused. "Um... that'd be rather nice, actually. I'd try to help people... depends on the power, I guess."

She perks up a little at the mention of LOLs. "Oh! Oh! I got turned into a swan princess. That was really cool." There's a cupcake wrapper near where she's sitting. Maybe drunk cupcake LOL isn't weird enough for her?

"Swan princess? That's pretty neat."

Anna catches the rock and taps it against her leg a few times, thoughtfully, before starting to toss and catch it again.

"And yeah, I'd think so too, but - honestly I'm just finding them a burden more than anything else."

[sarah_branigan]

"It was!" Sarah confirms, nodding her head enthusiastically. "I could fly, and I could still talk. Believe me, it's a pain in the keister when you're LOLed as an animal and you can't say boo." She starts giggling. "I turned back into a human in the bath, too... that was pretty funny."

She sobers up a little (well, relatively. She's doing a lot of swaying on the couch). "A burden? What's your new powers?"

"Everything but the fucking kitchen sink, seems like. Strength, speed, setting things on fire with my mind - the works. I think I can actually levitate, too, which is exhilarating in a slightly scary way."

[call_me_lex]

"Fascinating rock," Lex says. "You know, this is the first time I've seen that particular kind outside of Smallville."

[downsidedarling]

Anna looks very, very surprised for a moment.

Then she grins.

"Fucking Nexus. Hi, I'm Anna. I know an alternate version of you."

The rock gets dropped into a pocket, and there's a sound as of a lid snapping shut.

"Yeah, Smallville's where I got it."

[call_me_lex]

"Really," Lex raises an eyebrow. "Then I guess I don't need to tell you that I'm Lex. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too."

Thoughtful smile.

"Out of curiosity, what's your opinion of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice? Was he an idiot to look back at her, or justified?"

"When I did, I went t' an abandoned planet an' jumped offa rocks. Lotsa rocks."

[downsidedarling]

Curiously:

"Why?"

[victormakesart]

"I couldn't be hurt."

"They were big rocks," she added.

(Ironically, she had switched bodies with good ol' Clark Kent at that time.)

"Yeah, I've got that one too," she says, nodding. "And superspeed, superstrength, and setting stuff on fire by looking at it. That last one's incredibly inconvenient. I hope this LOL doesn't stick around long."
