Rose slumped against the rotting walls of the schoolhouse bathroom. The barren lights overhead flickering a wilting yellow off putrefying paint and rusted gore of gnarled razorwire strangled the mutilated corpse with efficient metallic violence. Locked in the bowels of this stinking pit ( Read more... )

*gawks for a moment at the bizarre sight before remembering self*

She's seven-year old. Long brown hair, brown eyes. Please- if you see her, be careful- she sleepwalks.

Very carefully. Sharon's never been fond of snakes awake so it's best to keep a safe distance. But if you see her, please, find me.

"Sorry, I... I don't know if I've seen your daughter. There's been a lot of children around here lately..." James is visibly concerned - he's learned to be a good parent. "...What is her name?"

Puts her hand to her aching head, desperation and anguish mounting with each passing moment of separation. "Sharon- Her name is Sharon. She's only seven-years-old and she's sick. I have to find her." Her fingers fumbling nervously the keepsake around her neck.

"Oh..." James frowns visibly, his expression turning from worried to apologetic. He's very sorry that he can't be of help. "I'm sorry... I didn't see her around here."

He takes several seconds to think and look around the area, before speaking up - or rather, thinking aloud.

"Maybe she went into one of the doors here."

"What doors-" her voice soon fades as glances over her shoulder, Rose suddenly becoming distinctly aware of the numerous doors littering the nexus.

"Where do these lead? Please, I've to know. There's these things- these people-" she starts to begin but faulters and fails to articulate what she's seen, fails at describing the sheer horror.

"She's all alone in this place called Silent Hill. Please."

I believe there's a children's shelter somewhere around here. She might have been taken there.

I'm not sure. But it is reputed to be a safe location.

Oh, Rose...I'm really glad you found your way.

I'm sorry, I know this sounds crazy, but- have you talked to me before?

I'll help with Sharon as much as I can. I'm sorry she's disappeared. And I'll see if I can flag Christopher down- I know he'll want to see you.

*She steps back, intutitively placing the stranger's face before the mind could catch up.*

I- I don't know. It's hard to remember much clearly.

How do you know about Sharon?

*Anxiety surpassing its peek the long this stranger keeps talking. But when he mentioned her husband all the color in her stunned face bled into her boots.*

"Christopher's here?" *Too petrafied to glance over shoulder. No, Rose couldn't face him- not yet- not without Sharon.*

Sorry, I didn't mean to hit you with all that right off the bat. My name's Henry Sherman-Townshend. I know Christopher- he comes here every once in awhile. He's been looking for you and Sharon...

"Christopher?"

She nods, swallowing the hard lump of fear in her raw throat.

"Tell him... Please, tell Christopher we're in Silent Hill. Sharon's gone. I'm not okay. There's these things- the darkness- the siren; it's the siren that brings them out. The world decays and then they come-" Her hands fumble with the flashlight, the only bastion of hope in the darkness that would engulf her. "I'm trapped in-."

Rose's voice gradually lowered in hushed dread, she could feel something banging against her back, trying to break the door down, "Something trying to get in-"
