My 2011 Cosplay Challenge! It's meant to keep me busy and I'm honestly thinking of it as more of an outline. I'd prefer to not be terribly pressured by my cosplay challenge, so if one month I'm super hyped to work on a different month's cosplay, I'll just work on what over motivates me at the time.

January - Melissa Tiss (Magna Carta 2), February - Youko (Juuni Kokki), March - Lina Inverse (Slayers Artbook), April - Megaera (Five Star Stories), May - Junko (Time Bokan aka Time Fighters), June - Akantor Gijinka (Monster Hunter), July - Suzu (Juuni Kokki), August - Megaera Continued (Just in case I need another month T_T), September - Tigerlily (Peter Pan), October - Shakky (One Piece), November - Diene (War of Genesis) and December - Queen Emeraldas (Galaxy 999 Universe)
UPDATED 2011 Cosplay Plan!!
Some of these cosplays are vital for this year while others are thrown into the mix. If something else comes up, I can discard my Juuni Kokki (Youko and Suzu), One Piece (Shakky) and/or War of Genesis (Diene) cosplays since I don't have a group depending on me. (aka challenge may change as I get deeper into 2011)
I've already started my Lina Inverse. My January Atlanta trip was dedicated to learning how to make armor and I got a pretty good head start on Lina's Spaulders (aka shoulder armor). I also decided on fabrics, which is half the battle, and started making her shirt. Since a lot of my January was spent making Lina, so I'll have to spend part of another month making Melissa Tiss.
I don't foresee my Juuni Kokki or Time Bokan cosplays taking all month to make, and that is fine. I'll probably need a break. Or I'll probably be making Lolita or Unrefined in the downtime. (YAY!!)
January- Queen Beryl (Sailor Moon Artbook), February- Sherazard (War of Genesis), March & April- Sizer (Violinist of Hameln Artbook - Look at that armor!!!), May- Lady Oscar (Rose of Versailles Artbook - White Coat), June- Grey Witch Karla (Record of Lodoss War OVA), July & August- Amila (Magna Carta: Crimson Stigmata), September- Viola (War of Genesis), October - Queen Serenity (Sailor Moon Artbook), November- Lina Inverse (Slayers Artbook) December- Queen Nehelania (Sailor Moon Artbook)
This is a tentative list and might change up as 2012 comes closer. Actually, the idea behind planning some of these to wear in 2012 is that I start them this year...so in reality I should have had them listed for 2011. Pfft. Fail. But who knows; maybe some of my 2011 cosplay wont take me the whole month and I can start either Lady Oscar, Amila or (cries) Sizer? (Sizer's armor terrifies me) Of the three, I'd most likely work on Lady Oscar.
2012 seems to be the year for Sailor Moon cosplay. I've always, ALWAYS wanted to cosplay from Sailor Moon, I just never thought I'd be cosplaying the characters I chose. I always imagined I'd do my dream cosplay of Sailor Cosmos, even though it's been done beautifully in the past. Lol, I went from Sailor Cosmos to Queen Beryl!! But in all seriousness, I'm super excited to be cosplaying her, Queen Serenity AND Queen Nehelania.
This line up really does depend on the groups I will be cosplaying with; except for Viola and Lina, I'll be a part of a larger group. :) So, if things come up and the groups decide to postpone the meet up date, I'll revise as needed.
P.S. I've totally spent the last week making a lolita JSK. Shoulda been working on cosplay.
