That shook Jared out of whatever zone he was in. He pulled over to the shoulder of the road and stopped. “Are you sick?”
“I’m freezing, and my boyfriend is freaking me out.”
“I’m fine.”
Jensen looked at him long and hard. “Don’t lie to me.”
Jared smiled and leaned in to give Jensen a kiss, but neither of them expected what happened next. All Jensen could do was watch Jared become sick in his lap. Jensen rubbed Jared’s back. Once Jared was done, Jensen just leaned is his head back against the car seat and let out a heavy sigh as he closed his eyes.
“Oh god, Jensen, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine, Jared.” Jensen slowly opened the car door and turned until his legs were outside the car. He pulled himself out of the car and carefully pulled his shirt off. He balled up his shirt and put it on the ground, opened the back door, unzipped his suitcase, and pulled out a shirt and some workout pants. He put on the shirt. He grabbed one of the gift bags and pulled the gift out of it and picked up the shirt and put it in it. He stood between both open doors of the car and removed his jeans, put on his workout pants, and put the jeans in the bag with the shirt. “Unlock the trunk.” Jared popped the trunk. Jensen tossed the bag in the trunk. He walked back over to the passenger’s side, he rolled up the floor mat, and he put it in the bag in the trunk. He slammed the trunk and the back door closed before getting back in the car. “Stop at the next gas station.” He just leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms as he closed his eyes again.
Jared just pulled back on the road and drove a few more miles until the first gas station came into view. He pulled in the parking lot. “We’re here.”
Jensen got out of the car and walked in the store. He came back out with a bag full of items and got in the car. He pulled out two Canada Dry Ginger Ales. He opened one and handed it to Jared. “It will help your stomach.” He opened the other one for himself and took a long swig of it before he put the bag that still had items in it in the back seat.
Jared took a drink. “Thanks.” Jared sighed when he felt the added pressure on his bladder making him need to pee; Something he did a lot of these days. “I need to pee.” He got out of the car. Jensen just closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead. When he was done Jared got back into the car. “We‘re just got two more hours.” Jensen nodded with his eyes still closed. Jared pulled back onto the highway. It wasn’t until after an hour of driving that Jared could hear Jensen’s breathing had gotten heavier and deeper; But he knew Jensen wasn’t a asleep since he knew how Jensen’s breathing sounded when he was asleep. “Are you all right?”
“Fine.” He turned away and looked out the window.
Jared reached over and touched Jensen’s cheek, which just caused Jensen to push his hand away. Jensen sat up more in his seat. “Jensen.”
“How much longer?”
“An hour or so. Why?”
“I need to use the restroom.” He didn’t take his eyes off the passenger window.
“I can pull over or stop at another gas station.”
“I’d prefer not to.” Jensen reached for his drink and took a long sip.
“I’m sorry.”
Jensen turned towards him and looked at him. “What?”
“I’m sorry I got sick on you, and I’m sorry I made you sick.”
“You didn’t know, and I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Jensen, you’re starting to look like shit. I have the feeling you’re just trying to keep everything in, but you’re slowly losing it.”
“I’ll be fine.”
“When we get to the cabin, you just go lay down and rest.”
“Jared, I’m not the one who puked. I’m just the one who got sick because they got puked on.”
“Jensen, I feel fine right now. You rest until your stomach settles. That’s final.”
“How come you wear the pants in this relationship, but I’m older?
Jared smirked. “Don’t forget it.” Jensen chuckled as Jared drove.
