Quilt Squad!
So I had this idea... I've been trying to come up with a name for our quilting group. In the shower this morning, the name Quilt Squad came to me. I'm not sure where that came from, but I kinda liked it. And it got me thinking about mini-squads of applique, piecing, quilting, general... Like Squad A01 for Applique or General Squad Meeting. I'm such a geek! But I like it... And being the *complete* geek that I am, I even registered the website quiltsquad.com (also cause I had a coupon for cheap registry) Who the heck knows if I'll ever get that page up.
So all you Quilt Squadders (ehh, don't know about that) ...Squad members?.... This Saturday is the Quilting Slumber Party. I finally got the boy to agree to give up his house for overnight. All dogs are welcome. Satchmo will be taking a feild trip to my apartment, we think. A schedule of events will be posted tomorrow, but plan on being there about noon, no later than 1. Show and tell will accompany a lunch (please submit your choices :D) and there will be fun stuff as well, later in the evening, along with a champagne tasting to help choose one for my upcoming wedding. I'm going to bring my table out of the sewing room to let us all be in one space and let someone sleep in there.
Thoughts? Opinions? Changes? And do you all have your projects ready?
