Awwww thanks! I think it comes from being an engineer, I tend to over-think things. One rule I've always had is I don't want to make goals that rely on other people (such as "get engaged" or "make ryan eat seafood", both of which I've seen). If it's not entirely in my control, it's not really -my- goal.

The cost was my idea - I've seen the uniform costs on other lists and thought it strange that "do a paint by number" should be worth the same as "graduate". Actually, I've talked about creating a "to-do list" app in the past where you can assign penalties for not completing them on time, so it was kind of an extension of that. Nerd stuff again.

The explanations - actually a friend of mine has a really, really organized list and I was super impressed: http://stapsdoes101things.dreamwidth.org/
If you scroll down, you'll see she has a post for each goal, complete with what exactly counts as completion and why she wants to do it, and a pretty image to boot! The recent posts are update posts. I didn't have the time or energy for anything so fancy, but I liked the idea of having some sort of explanation.

As for adding as friends, sure :) It can't hurt to have more postcard/tea loving pals here, and I always like seeing other people's mission progress.
