laptop dies AGAIN

Thus, I will only be reachable via email during normal business hours for the next week or so. The hope is that I'll have my computer back by Friday. If you want to get in touch with me in the meantime during non-business hours, call or text my cell phone.

As far as I know hard drives are the *most* likely thing to fail, and under normal operation will fail before anything else on the computer, although they should last 2-3 years. The only other moving parts are the CD/DVD drive and the cooling fan (and the hinge if it's a laptop). But, uselessly, I read somewhere that if you scaled up the read/write head of a hard drive to the size of a 747, it would be flying at Mach 800 less than a centimeter from the ground...
