WOT: Towers of Midnight

*collapses in a pile of readerly exhaustion*

I can't believe I just finished the second last book of WOT. Is it Memory of Light time yet?

Except that I don't know what I'm going to do without a new WOT at some point in the future. How can this series end? Simultaneously wanting the last book and not wanting the series to be over: sense this does not make, brain. (Apparently my brain communicates in Yoda!grammar. I don't know.)

TOM was much more Perrin-centric than I thought it would be, but that's okay because I have a gigantic soft spot for Perrin. A soft spot that survived the Endless Plot of Doom, so it's pretty huge. Rand, I'm still trying to figure out. I kind of miss old Rand, though that makes me feel a little guilty because I don't actually want him self-hating and crazy. But new Jesus!Rand didn't really feel like the Rand I know, even pre-craziness. So, hm.

MAT! Half the light of the world! Trouncing the snakes and foxes! *flail* Aviendah! And her profoundly creepy vision. Nyneave! Completely flouting AS rules but still (finally!) being recognised. Even Elayne was less annoying than usual. Ditto Gawyn. Egwene needs to chill a little with the AS arrogance, but, hey, she did still deliver a serving to a Forsaken.

March 2012 is too far away! And yet, WHAT WILL I DO WHEN IT'S OVER??

wot, books
