Amazed
Hey everyone,
I had a doctor appointment (routine physical exam)...Nothing serious.. anyway... he's a gay doctor... my first gay doctor...
I entered thinking... okay... "No interpreter"... He'll be probably intimitated by my deafness. Keep in mind, lots of hearing people panic when they see deaf people.. I have been through that alllllll the time!! Trust me, it can get old sometimes... anyway...
He opened the door while I was waiting for him to enter and signed in a clear ASL saying, "Hello how are you?".. "I know how to sign"... Needless to say, I was blown away... No need for interpreters???? I don't need them now???? AWESOME!!! :) Gay, friendly, know ASL... even better.... He's definitely going to be my regular doctor!!!!!
Talked to Francis a bit more... becoming more regular now..So that's good...
There's one guy in my gym that I'm writing back and forth... Hmm will ask him out on a date soon. He's deaf-friendly.. so that's cool! :)
My co-worker said she has gotten a confirmation from the teachers' conference.. confirmation of her registration to Las Vegas... I haven't damn gotten my confirmation!!!!! Grrr.. I have emailed and haven't heard from the coordinator of the conference.. I better go to Las Vegas!!! It's less than two weeks!!! I checked the weather in Las Vegas.. it's a balmy 80 degrees.. How nice?! :)
