Java Hut(t? is there a second t?)) is "NOW HIRING". I already have a job, thanks, so I'm fighting my urge for the bragging rights of saying I've worked in every coffee shop in southeastern michigan. But if you need a job, there you go. Thank me later with ice cream.
Ferndale is the most wonderful city that has existed since roman times. Two days ago was pridefest, and I heard someone doing kareoke to that "i'm not gonna write you a love song!" song. perfect.
Three days ago at Java Hut(t), Steve and I got caught up talking to a crazy guy holding a clipboard who told me he could guess my social security number by using a mathematical equation based on my father's birthdate. He was wrong.
At this exact moment there's an old guy standing across the street in front of the dollar store in a lavender-hued leisure suit.
I went to Pinwheel Bakery for the first time on Saturday. Someone at work had told me that the person who owns it is a surly baker woman. She was pretty surly.
Why is there a buffalo wild wings? No, really. I can't figure out who goes there. I've met lots of people who live in Ferndale, and none of those people strike me as the hot wings, draught beer and sports game types.
Yesterday, Steve told me that a woman he works with lives near us and she had asked him what was going on on nine mile on sunday. When Steve told her it was pridefest she said "Oh, I didn't know there were many of those in Ferndale."
On June 19th Steve and I are going to the wedding of one of his friends. After more than three years together, this is me and Steve's first wedding. I'm really excited and need to find a dress.
Remember Jason and Lisa's wedding? Best day ever. I'm pretty sure I was kind of sick and had just worked 12 hours before I arrived, but it was awesome.
Lastly, I am cured. I am so totally cured of my shit. It is faboulous. I think this week is actually one full year since I've had a panic attack of any sort. I have a 3.6 GPA after two semesters at OCC WITHOUT dropping out. I got straight As last semester. I just planted my first garden.
It's irritating when people drag their chairs across the concrete floor.
