(no subject)
Saw the dentist today for the first time in four years.
I went in because I have a toothache (cold-sensitive upper rear right molar). Came out having been told that there was nothing wrong with that tooth, or any of my other teeth for that matter. Had the checkup and a cleaning, no copay. I should have been making use of this dental insurance thing a while ago, I guess.
Then I saw WALL-E (alone, at 11:45am), which was charming and gorgeous but somehow didn't quite hit for me the way I wanted it to. I still liked it a lot, but the second half is a big falloff from the first half. I think The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Toy Story 2, at least, are better Pixar efforts.
Finally, I went home, packed up everything left in the old house, and got the hell outta Dodge. If I'm lucky, I won't be back to Marietta any time soon. I'm now living in Little 5 Points, at the apartment of a philosophy grad who's a pretty cool guy and who has the most impressive private library I've seen in a while. It's comfy, and won't be a bad place to spend the month.
Now I just have to see to my car, closing my bank account, and wrapping up all the crap at work.
