As some of you may know, About a month ago i was ill, It turned out to be samonella, rather badly too. Then it was ok, i was clear, then they recontacted me with hours of questions as its a new strain they have only just recently encountered. So i've been tested and stabbed with needles etc while they examine me more. I kinda moved on and was 'Cool!' that i had something new and undiscovered, Then also kinda 'ooooh shit' in the same instance (No pun intended).
Today the independent put up and article about the samonella strain and how its appearing to be from steak and cheese subways (Damn!) (yes that was on my list of things i had eaten around the time). What was rather disturbing was the listing of it being 'A fatal strain of Samonella'
Fatal is never good.
I've read up what i can on it and it seems the 'fatal' element is because a oap died from it and several other things in hospital recently and that most people clear up fine from it. So hopefully i'm most people. The test results were meant to be in on thursday/friday last week, I've not heard from the doc either, so I'm taking that as a good sign. Of course, he may just ring me on monday and tell me i'm fuckered. Wait and see i guess :)
Needless to say i almost shit myself as much this morning on reading that article as i did when i actually had the samonella itself.
