Your Song

This entry will be focused on one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my life.
There are a few amazing people I've met, so please, no one get their feelings hurt.

I met this person on the night that kicked off my best experience during the heated months ever. We sat around talking for about 2 hours, until it was time for sleep, and I figured she was too good looking to ever associate with the likes of me. Quickly she became friends with probably my closest new friend, because they were both from New Jersey. There was about a week, maybe less, where we didn't really talk to eachother. Then, I'm not sure what did it, but we started talking.

We became friends quickly as well, sharing a passion for jam band music and intelect. Many a night we wandered into Burlington, all the way tackling eachother (mostly me doing the tackling), on the way down the hill. She put up with my constant jeering of "You dirty little whore", and even didn't lose her cool when I told her boyfriend over the phone that we were hooking up. Which was a lie.

We watched apocolypse now! together as well. Everyone who was at the viewing felt an immediate bond after, like we shared some dirty little secret. Or some incredible horrible truth.

She was there for me through every teenage "love" affair throughout the summer, and even set me up with some, much to her dismay, I found out the last night. She constantly told me there were about 20 girls who liked me, obviously an exageration.

She was the one who sat with me on the grassy quad area for 2 hours while the grateful dead, allman bros, and phish pumped out of my portable boom box. We fake fenced for a while, and then hugged trees. I told her she had a nice ass, but it was uneven. Constant flirting, but a completely platonic relationship. And it was awesome.

We don't see eachother too often, but we exchange greetings and music over the internet all the time. She helps me through home problems, and even deals with me when I call her at random times.

Erica wrote a narrative that included me for her A/P english class. It's excellent. With her permission, I'd be happy to share it. Thank you so much Erica Hersch, for everything you've done and all the good times you've gave me. Especially that "special dance" on the last night at 4 in the morning. I miss you, miss you miss you. And When you come down to get some clean air and away from the toxic radiation, I'll meet you at the airport. And you can sleep in my house, or my room.

Was that good enough?
