My surgery.

My left inguinal hernia repair surgery was a screaming success. It was such a success, in fact, that they decided to fix one of the right side too. I didn't even know the one on the right side existed. Better at the same time than having to do it again a year from now. But the pain is at least double what they expected it to be.

Everything is swollen, bruised, and I'm forced to wear uncomfortable clothes. It's not fun.

Lizz has been the best. She came over on wednesday evening, the night after i had the surgery, and nursed me back to health. Something about her presence and her smile and her new sexy hair cut made things easier. And then she came over for like 6 or 7 hours on thursday and helped me. Today, I'm going it alone. And alone means without prescription pain killers either.

I should be optimistic. My recovery has been exponential in the way of diminishing pain. By tommorow night I should be doing much better. I can stand up straight now, although my back and front hurts me regardless. But I'm not walking like Quasimodo anymore. Or Gollum. Yea, as soon as the tylenol kicks in I'll be fine.
