A Visit
A group of eight or so very senior guys from Blizzard visited my studio today. My boss told me that they specifically asked for a tour of one my primary systems and to be ready to present it. Being a massive fan of Blizzard, this meant a hell of a lot to me.
I was nervous at first but once I found my stride, I felt like I really nailed it; the primary methodology, high-level notes on the philosophy behind it, how the tools work and more. I got a few "oohs" and "ahhs"...which felt absolutely great. Getting that sort of reaction from legends of the industry is among the highest class of professional validation.
