THURS update, supplemental
Clients seem to call on Wed, Thurs, and Fri.... Mostly to wreck my weekend with a rush job due on Mon. Well, not THAT often. This week filled in nicely. Atlanta Jewish Times, I think that's the title of their magazine, e mailed a little job that is due in Oct. Muscular Development hadn't called me for about a year, they just e mailed a job to me. Washington Monthly hadn't called in at least 6 months and they just dropped a nice fun job on my desk. Bank Technologies News gave me their monthly caricature to do last Fri that was due on Wed. Phoenix New Times and SF Weekly both gave me some little spots to do, and Signatures requested some pencil concept sketches that I already turned in as well. Next thing I know, Time Magazine will be calling! HA! That'd be really cool.
I'm going to try and make it to the Society of Illustrators for the Jazz and Sketch thing they do on 3rd Thursdays. Amber Ray, a friend of mine, will be glamm'n it up with two other girls for figure drawing while a cool jazz band will be playing. I also have a guy, Steve, coming to help me out in my studio this Fri. 1st time and I'm not all that sure where to start him. I'm looking forward to it though.
A good milestone for me happened tonight. I benched 225 for two "easy" reps. I say easy because I considered doing a 3rd but thought better of it because I didn't have someone to spot me. My arms were so pumped after the work out I wish they would stay that
way until the next one! I painted for a good 3 hours after that. The new painting is starting to look really awesome.
It's all acrylics right now. I should be starting the oils by Fri if I'm not too busy.... My cat is a spas.
