"Elliott Smith....didn't he do the soundtrack to...."

And highschool is officially over. Today was the last day...it went by like any other really, until 9th period. I've wanted my English teacher to sign my yearbook for the past few days, I asked him yesterday after class and he told me to ask him again tomorrow, so I did and he told me to drop by 9th period. So after I finished my Spanish final I went by to see him. When I walked up to him he went "Elliott Smith, didn't he do the soundtrack to Good Will Hunting?" That just knocked me off my feet. We talked awhile about what I want to do, and things, it was really nice...I never had the chance to talk to him one on one despite wanting to for a long time. I always felt weird about just dropping by the English office to talk to him. I kind of regret it now, he signed my yearbook and told me that he didn't sign many people's yearbooks and that he was happy to have a person like me who knew indedpent films and things in class. I thanked him for having a great class and promised to visit him in the future. As I walked out of that room clutching my yearbook something came over me, I was really upset. I didn't dare think I would be upset on this day, but alas...I am. The only reason is because I am going to miss Mr. Needham a great deal, he's really he most outstanding teachers I've ever had. I had to hold back my tears or try to during the rest of Spanish class and on the bus trip home. Now I just feel terribly numb, I've made it to the end...I don't really know what to say...
