I Got "The Call"
Every lawyer has this story and suggested that it's going to happen to you someday. Mine just came a little early. I got the call 'early' Monday morning. By early I mean I had started the dishwasher before bed and it wasn't finished yet.
"I'm in jail, please come help me."
Well that is the latest chapter in the story of my relationship with this person. I was going to blog the entire story in order, but not being able to access LJ from my laptop during the day has sucked the fun out of blogging.
I picked her up from the city jail. Last I heard she is living in a motel. I am trying to explain to her that I can help her better if she's willing to help herself; that means doing what I tell her.
I've gotten a few disinterested nods from mentioning this around the law school. Everyone's already heard this story before and I imagine it doesn't often have a happy ending
