List 2010
Don’t understand why I still feel the compunction to post this list. Judging from my post rate last year, my LJ is as good as dead. Honestly though, I suppose this list is more for me than anyone else-given the decreasing number of books and movies I appear to imbibe as the years go on, singular films and books serve as little mementos.
I remember getting pulled over by the cops after watching Shutter Island because Ben ran a red light. Sober.
I remember leaving the showing of Mothra vs. Godzilla with Jack. What we eventually ended up doing I don’t remember (which is surprising given the extraordinary events that generally pass when we manage to get together), but I like that I can succinctly recall walking out of that theater which had a bicycle parked by the front couple of rows, past the brown paper-bagged beers and bottles left under the plush seats.
I remember watching Inception the night before Thanksgiving, projected onto a bed-sheet haphazardly tacked onto the wall, while eating a dinner of watermelon under the night sky in Senegal.
Remembering is nice. MAN I am getting old. When was I ever a fan of nostalgia?

2011 looks like it's going to double my reading list. I've already watched 3 other seasons of The Wire and added a couple of books in the space of this month thanks to a whopper of a staph infection on my leg. Ahh, convalescence. All my love to LJ-land!
