When did concerts go from being about enjoying a band play your favorite music, to seeing how ridiculously drunk and obnoxious you can become?

today i woke up at 6:30 to give myself plenty of time to get to class by 9:30. i left the house at 7am (thinking i'd be able to grab a coffee before class with the extra time i was giving myself.) i trekked out to the bus stop and caught my bus at the regular time at 7:05, and arrived at school at 10:35pm.
