she sat in the black office chair in a daze, meditating subconsciously. as if sent by divine providence, she grasped a thought.
the thought that she had never felt that electricity course through her about an other.
it explained much, and the thought intrigued her.
passion, yes. it lacked passion with them.
there was no hunter/prey feel, no seduction.
it was simple, far too simple for her. she needed to jump through hoops, she needed to flex a little. it was a workout, a nice refreshing, exhilarating and mind altering high.
thats what she was missing with the others
there was no finesse to the game played with the others
why play checkers when you can play chess
with strategy, poise and cunning
yes, the thrill of it made her smile
racing, racing, racing was her mind
the joy, the playfulness
the beauty
the grace
thats what she loved, what she lived for
that one inexplicable moment when her eyes crashed into the gaze of another and held with a fiery connection that grasped her like a magnet. the pull was unexplainable, uncontrollable and altogether welcome
