so for english class we had to write notes on a ridiculous amount of pages from the Write for College book and then we had to write sample letters of complaint, recommendation so on and so forth
i was a little bit annoyed by this assignment, and so for my sample letter of complaint, i turned in the following:
Dear English Department:
On or about April 4, I received an assignment from one Sister Elizabeth to be completed by May 2.
The assignment was obnoxiously large in its amount of busy work and though it was not particularly difficult in nature, it simply required more patience than I am willing to grant at the end of this very grueling senior year.
I have spoken to other students with similar complaints and then further to the Bishop Ireton administration. They said that given Sister Elizabeth’s 20+ years of service to Bishop Ireton High School there was nothing they could do to restrain her from assigning pointless assignments aimed at creating the trials of purgatory on earth.
I firmly believe that it would be far more productive to watch movies of classic British novels for the remainder of the school year, than to assign time consuming busy work that is simply too little, too late.
