First look scenes of Chris Redfield's female partner in Resident Evil 5 have hit and we have to say she seems pretty cool and not at all the sniveling wimp we were expecting (we blame Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles for this preconceived notion).

Is that a new POC I see? However, some are saying that the character is actually an older character named Sherry Birkin. And while I'm happy to see a POC character as one of the good guys, I hope that there isn't a paper bag test involved in order to fight zombies here. Especially when all of the zombies/enemies we've seen so far would fail that test.
