while wandering around this weekend, I came across this:
Aya, a graphic novel set in late 70s cote d'ivoire by Marguerite Abouet which has been released in an english translation. As it turns out, she's speaking at the PEN center in NYC later this month with Neil Gaiman. There is another Aya book which hasnt been translated into English yet but is available in France (and I guess maybe Quebec).
